About GanapatiPule: It is a very small town with about 100 houses, and has one of the most spectacular beaches along the Konkan Coast. It attracts peace-seekers, beach lovers, and pilgrims alike. The temple of Swayambhu (self-originated) Ganesh is frequently visited  by thousands every year.

Started at 6:45 AM and reached GanapatiPule at 3:45 PM. The journey is about 315 Kms but more than half is in hilly area. We went via Pune->Satara->Patan->Chiplun->Sangmeshwar route. The road condition is good on the highway but not in the hilly area. On the way, we stopped at Abhiruchi ( near Wai) on Pune-Satara road for breakfast, at Kumbharli Ghat for roasted corn and at Chiplun for lunch.

After reaching Hotel ( Hotel GreenLeaf Resort of ClubMahindra), we visited the “Lord Ganesha” temple and then strolled on the beautiful beach.

15th October :

After beautiful morning walk on beach, we set out to go to Ratnagiri via “Are Ware” Road. This is one of the most beautiful drive that I have drove. It  runs parallel to the beaches. On one side you have the hills and other side is beautiful beach.

After GanapatiPule, went to Pavas . This is a prime spiritual place in Ratnagiri district due to a very long stay of Swami (saint) Swaroopanand. On the way back, we had lunch at Gogte Restaurant in Tilak Ali of Ratnagiri.

16th October :

Started back to Pune at 8:30 AM. We took Nivali->Sakharpa->Malkapur->Karad->Satara->Pune road while coming. The distance is 20 Kms more than via Chiplun but road is much better. It takes approximately same time. On the way back, we ate at “Datta” restaurant, one of the best place to eat lamb curry. ( it is about 21 kms before Karad)
